Earlier, NEWS.am reported that a few days ago, investigators uncovered a particularly serious crime that occurred in Yerevan, when a person, after firing several shots at his victim, saw that the target was dodging and then fleeing, chased the victim in his Mercedes GLE car, then ran over him and, seeing that he was dead, fled.

Law enforcement officers found out that the alleged murderer, 35-year-old Yerevan resident Sargis S., came to the Nubarashen highway in a Mercedes GLE, where he saw his victim, 41-year-old Yerevan resident Gagik Hakhverdyan, get out of the car and fire several shots from the gun he had with him, aiming to kill him. However, G. Hakhverdyan managed to evade the gunfire and flee, while Sargis S. got into a Mercedes GLE, chased his victim, fatally ran him over, and fled, aiming to cross the Armenian border into Georgia.

Having reached the 13th kilometer of the Ijevan-Dilijan highway in Tavush province, he crashed into a concrete barrier and ended up in the Aghstev River, from where he was taken to the Dilijan Medical Center.

After receiving the necessary medical care at the Dilijan Medical Center, he tried to escape from the hospital, but was caught.
