Erdogan: "Karabakh is Azerbaijan's land and will remain so forever."
In a post on his social media, Erdogan referred to Azerbaijan as a "friendly and fraternal country" and honored the memory of the Azerbaijani servicemen who lost their lives while participating in combat operations to occupy Artsakh.
"On the occasion of Remembrance Day in friendly and fraternal Azerbaijan, I remember with mercy the heroic martyrs who fought to liberate Karabakh from occupation and for its freedom, and I honor the veterans with respect," the Turkish President wrote.
Erdogan also declared: "Karabakh is Azerbaijani land and will remain so forever."
It is worth noting that today marks the sixth anniversary of the start of the 44-day war in Armenia, during which thousands of Armenians sacrificed their lives for their homeland. However, as a result, Artsakh was occupied by Azerbaijan, more than a hundred thousand people from Artsakh were left without a homeland, and for the first time in many millennia, Armenians no longer inhabit its territory.
