"Fact". Another condition is to get rid of officials with ties to Russia
"Fact" daily writes: "According to our information, the authorities of Armenia have acquired other so-called "internal" obligations with the USA and the European Union, in addition to the published documents and statements. Some time ago, we informed that the West demands from Nikol Pashinyan to remove from positions all those persons who had and have close ties with Russia. And here, according to our source in the CP, there are new developments related to this topic. In particular, promising more money in the near future, the European Union stated that they can provide these money and support only to people they trust.
Especially in the case of the security forces, the European Union has significant concerns regarding a number of officials, and Pashinyan was asked to get rid of them. In particular, the name of the head of the GSH, Edward Asryan, was mentioned. They also reminded of the previously pending promise regarding the change of the Minister of Internal Affairs.
By the way, our source claims that most of the members of the CP are extremely against the candidacy of Deputy Minister Arpine Sargsyan, even though the latter has certain ties with the structures of the European Union. According to our information, there is a belief, especially in the KP Department, that a political figure should be appointed to that position, and preferably a member of the KP Department, who will be able to better control the most important power structure. By the way, according to our interlocutor, it seems that there is already a consensus on this matter, but they have not yet decided who will be appointed."
