"Hraparak": Pashinyan "gave a boost" to the regional governors

The “Hraparak” newspaper writes: “Nikol Pashinyan has “given the reins” to the regional governors of the Communist Party of Armenia (CPA) – he has instructed the CPA board to present candidates for local government community heads who are winners, otherwise the governors themselves will bear the consequences of their defeat in the form of dismissal. We wrote that the candidates for the local government elections expected in the fall will also be selected by the CPA board, that is, Pashinyan will decide, so the governors must present more than one candidate and substantiate the merits of each one so that the superior can make a choice.

One of the regional governors complained to us that it is now difficult, almost impossible, to find a reputable, respected CP member who can truly deserve the people's vote, so they have no choice but to offer a deal to reputable people in these areas. And now is the negotiation stage, and it is unlikely that a self-respecting person will agree to openly become a candidate for power. And what each will demand in return for agreeing is not yet clear.
