I have refused medical intervention in writing and returned to Freedom Square. Mane Tandilyan, the chairman of the "Land of Living" party, wrote about this on his Facebook page:

"Dear friends,

First of all, I want to thank you for the many calls and letters, worrying about my health.

I would like to inform you that this morning my health deteriorated sharply and I was taken to the hospital. The doctors have urged me to end the hunger strike and provide appropriate treatment.

Expressing my satisfaction to the staff of University Hospital No. 1, I refused medical intervention in writing and returned to Freedom Square.

My request and that of our friends remains the same: to Ruben Vardanyan to end his hunger strike.

I also thank the media for constantly raising the issue of Ruben Vardanyan and our other compatriots. I hope that those journalists with whom I have not been able to talk these days are understanding. I will be ready to meet and talk to journalists tomorrow during the day."
