Law enforcement officers have detained the 49-year-old man who inflicted a gunshot wound.

At 3:15 a.m. on October 1, a report was received by the Ministry of Internal Affairs' 112 Operational Management Center stating that an ambulance team from the "Masis" Medical Center had transported a 54-year-old male resident of Ayntap village, who had sustained a gunshot wound, to the "Erebuni" Medical Center for treatment.

As a result of joint operational-investigative measures by officers from the Ararat Regional Department of the Criminal Police and the Masis Division of the Community Police, it was established that shortly after midnight on October 1, a 54-year-old man got into a dispute over personal matters with a friend—a 49-year-old resident of Nor Kyurin village—near a house on 17th Street in Ayntap village; during the altercation, the two men exchanged blows.

Subsequently, the 54-year-old man went to Nor Kyurin to continue the dispute, during which the 49-year-old man shot him with an illegally possessed rifle, causing bodily injury.

The 49-year-old man was located, detained, and taken to the Masis Division of the Community Police.

The compiled documentation has been forwarded to the preliminary investigation body.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated. A 49-year-old resident of Nor Kyurin village has been transferred to a detention facility. Measures are being taken to locate the illegally held rifle. A preliminary investigation is underway.
