Our capital, which evolved from Erebuni into Yerevan, will never become Erivan: Samvel Karapetyan.

Happy anniversary, Yerevan!
It is impossible not to love Yerevan—with its history, unique character, and the warmth of its people.
Our Yerevan has always been open to the world, yet it has never lost its Armenian identity and spirit. It is the residents of Yerevan themselves who have preserved this through their devotion, hard work, and the will to overcome difficult times with dignity.
Yerevan’s 2,808-year history is a source of pride for us Armenians, while its future is our responsibility.
Yerevan is not merely a place to be enjoyed. To love it also means having the ability to care for, preserve, and develop it.
Our capital deserves bold thinking and ambitious plans. We must put an end to "urban terror," preserve the soul of old Yerevan, and build a modern, green, and economically powerful city—a place where it is pleasant to live, work, and raise children. One thing remains unchanged: Yerevan is not merely a city. It has been, and will continue to be, the center of thought, culture, strength, and major transformations for the entire Armenian nation.
And our capital—which evolved from Erebuni into Yerevan—will never become Erivan," Karapetyan wrote.
