After the sealing of a number of stalls of the Arinj Mall shopping center owned by the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik Tsarukyan, employees are holding a protest today, demanding to clarify the grounds for the actions of law enforcement officers. This is reported by Sputnik Armenia.

According to the participants of the action, the sealing was carried out on a non-working day, without informing them in advance or submitting any notification.

“It was a non-working day, the stalls in the first row were sealed. The people came out to the action because everyone is fighting for bread. We have not received a response from the management of the Arinj Mall, who also applied to the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, and they have not received a response either. We have also gone to the Criminal Investigation Department on our own, but we have not received a response from there either,” said one of the participants of the action.

He noted that at the moment only the first row of the shopping center has been sealed, but they fear that the same may happen to the other pavilions.

“Today this section was sealed without any valid reason, tomorrow the other row may be sealed,” he noted.

According to the employees, there is a hypothesis that the sealing is due to the fact that the pavilions are under a high-voltage line.

“But the same high-voltage line also passes along the main road. Moreover, in the very section where there is a high-voltage line, construction work is currently underway,” said the participant in the action.

The merchants declare that they will continue to demand that law enforcement agencies provide clear explanations regarding the reasons for the sealing of the pavilions.

On July 20, we reported that investigative actions were carried out in the “Arinj Mall” shopping center, and the activities of 10-15 pavilions were suspended.
