The point is that the Constitution of Armenia guarantees the mandatory representation of national minorities in the parliament. As is already known, in the current convocation of the National Assembly, there are representatives of the 4 largest national minorities in Armenia, three of which are representatives of the CP faction.
We were informed that this time, the representative of the Russian community, Alexey Sandikov, the representative of the Yezidi community, Rustam Bakoyan, and the representative of the Kurdish community, 80-year-old Knyaz Hasanov, who is a former RPA deputy, have also been nominated on the CP pre-election list.
All three of the mentioned individuals are currently deputies of the National Assembly's Communist Party faction.
Let us add that, apart from Rustam Bakoyan, the remaining three are non-partisan and paid 1.5 million drams to be included in the CP pre-election list.
