Three earthquakes were recorded in the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan, within a few hours.

Three earthquakes have been recorded in Almaty within a few hours. Tengri News reports this.

The first earthquake occurred at 06:32, with a magnitude of 3.4. A second, stronger tremor was recorded at 09:38, reaching a magnitude of 4.2. Residents in various parts of the city felt the tremors.

Experts described the sensation of the earthquake as a "sharp jolt from below." Seismologists consider the first tremor to be a foreshock of the second.

The third earthquake occurred at 13:53. According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), it also had a magnitude of 4.2. The epicenter was located approximately 60 km southeast of the village of Kegen.

Kazakhstan's Ministry of Emergency Situations stated that there are currently no grounds to expect a destructive earthquake in the Almaty region.
