Construction is underway on the private house of Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan's father in the village of Shorzha in the Gegharkunik region. At the time of the Hetq film crew's visit (July 2025), the builders were building a swimming pool in front of the private house. The villagers know whose house it is. Hetq writes about this.

The mansion has a dominant position over the neighboring houses, the plot of land under construction is surrounded by mountains. The mansion offers a view of Lake Sevan. The house is about 385 meters from the lake shore. Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan assures that the mansion is not for him, he prefers the rest house of the Artists' Union on the shore of Lake Sevan. It should be noted that it was built during the Soviet years and is in a dilapidated condition.

Tigran Avinyan’s 66-year-old father, Armen Avinyan, received a construction permit for a private house in Shorzha (now Shoghakat) in 2022. At that time, the settlement of Shoghakat was part of the Shoghakat community of the same name, and the construction permit was issued by the mayor of Shoghakat. Now the settlement of Shoghakat is part of the enlarged Chambarak community. According to the construction permit issued to Armen Avinyan, a private house with an area of 286 square meters, a swimming pool and non-main buildings will be built on the plot of land at 8/1, Shoghakat 10th Street.
