The “Zhoghovurd” daily writes: “There are only 9 days left until the June 7, 2026 National Assembly elections in Armenia, but one of the main trends recorded in the pre-election field, according to published sociological studies, continues to be a significant decrease in electoral activity.
The general picture of the surveys presented by various political forces and made public, regardless of differences in methodology, clients and geopolitical centers, mainly records that a significant part of the voters still do not want to participate in the elections.
At the same time, according to the results of surveys from various centers, no individual political force can independently form a stable parliamentary majority at this stage.
The formation of the government after June 7 may depend on several possible scenarios:
• formation of alliances and post-election political unions,
• redistribution of votes of forces that have not overcome the transitional threshold through the mechanisms of the bonus system,
• or a second round of elections.
In other words, the election results depend more on post-election developments: who will form an alliance with whom, how much the vote of the force will increase due to the bonuses of those who did not pass.
Against this background, the issue of political stability after the election results continues to remain open and sensitive, one of the key topics on the agenda. What to expect in post-election Armenia?
