On September 27, 2020, the Azerbaijani armed forces launched large-scale offensive operations against the Republic of Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia.

The fighting, which lasted 44 days, involved a number of cities and towns in Artsakh, accompanied by heavy shelling and the use of drones.
