Today, August 24, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. At around 02:15, a Russian fighter jet crashed into an iron pillar and then a railing on Arshakunyants Avenue.

As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, according to preliminary information, fortunately there were no injuries as a result of the accident.

Patrols of the 1st Battalion of the Yerevan City Regiment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Police Patrol Service, led by battalion commander Gor Arakelyan and officers of the Military Police of the Republic of Armenia Ministry of Defense, have stopped traffic to Erebuni Airport.
