Vincent Roche, the 16th laureate of the RA State Prize for Global Contribution to High Technology, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Analog Devices Inc. (ADI), who arrived in Armenia to receive his award, held a press conference at Viva.
Other speakers at the press conference were Viva CEO Armen Avetisyan, First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Gevorg Mantashyan, Director of Synopsis Armenia and Chairman of the Executive Board of the Awards Hovik Musayelyan, and Honorary President of McKinsey & Company North Asia Andre Andonian.

"When the world's ICT legends come to Armenia, a special energy is created. This is not just a ceremony: this is a meeting with people who are changing technological history and inspiring people to believe in their own strengths."
For young people, startups and industry representatives, this is a powerful impetus: success is possible, even if no one has yet traveled a new path. Such visits unite generations and ideas, showing that Armenia is becoming an active participant in the global innovative world. We are proud to have supported the initiative for 16 years, which inspires, unites and disseminates knowledge. And it is a great honor for us to be part of this path,” said Armen Avetisyan, General Director of Viva.

"I would like to express special gratitude to Vincent Roche for coming to Armenia, receiving this award in person, and walking this path with us. This path is not only for him to be recognized as a winner; it is also a record of our common, joint efforts, because this area is one of our priorities and it is extremely important for people who achieve success to become recognizable and be appreciated as they deserve. I also express my gratitude to our like-minded people who organized all this and are at the origins of this initiative," said First Deputy Minister of BTA Gevorg Mantashyan.
For 16 years, the main partner of the Global High-Tech State Award has been Viva, the leading telecommunications operator in Armenia, and the initiator and supporter has been Synopsys Armenia. As a result of the successful partnership, world leaders have visited our country in different years, thanks to which significant changes have been recorded in the field of high technologies, people's lives, and the global economy.

“It is a great honor and responsibility to receive this recognition for the two values that unite the world’s pioneers and communities: innovation and impact,” said Vincent Roche, CEO and President of ADI. “At ADI, we invest in the people and ideas that advance technology for the benefit of society and the planet, so that together we can continue to have a positive impact around the world and for generations to come. In the future, we are committed to empowering the next generation and encouraging young talent who will create solutions that we cannot even imagine today.”
Roche will receive the award on October 15. As part of the visit, the laureate will visit the Engineering City, where he will participate in the opening of the Legends Walk of Fame. As usual, the laureate will visit the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, where he will be awarded an honorary doctorate from the university. The visit’s agenda also includes a meeting with students from six universities in Armenia, as well as a visit to the Synopsys Armenia R&D Center and the Academic Department.
“Vincent Roche’s leadership at Analog Devices and his lasting contributions have had a significant impact on the development of semiconductor technologies, particularly in the areas of sensors, signal processing, and intelligent systems,” said Hovik Musayelyan, Director of Synopsys Armenia and Chairman of the Executive Board of the Awards. “Awarding him with the Global High-Tech Award reflects the contributions and values that we strive to highlight. As the initiator and supporter of this award, Synopsys Armenia is proud to honor individuals whose work contributes to technological progress for the benefit of humanity. The mission of the award is to inspire innovation, promote global collaboration, and enhance Armenia’s role in the international high-tech community as a developing center for microelectronics.”

“I am truly inspired by the direction technology is taking and the future it promises. One thing is clear: technology is rapidly becoming an integral part of our lives, and it has the potential to improve both people and the planet. In the coming years, the future will be shaped by artificial intelligence and autonomous systems, sustainable energy and development, and new experiences in the digital world. Our goal is to make solving complex problems easier and more automated,” said Andre Andonian, Asia-Pacific President and Strategic Advisor at Flagship Pioneering, a biotechnology company, and Honorary Chairman of McKinsey & Company, North Asia.
