Alarms continue to sound in southern and central Israel as Iran fires ballistic missiles toward the country, the Times of Israel reports.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement saying that residents in areas where the alarms are sounding should stay in their bomb shelters until further notice, while work continues to shoot down the missiles.

According to doctors, there were no reports of hits or direct damage to residential areas after the Iranian ballistic missile barrages fired at central and southern Israel.

The Magen David Adom ambulance service said it was responding to calls about civilians who had suffered minor injuries after falling while running to bomb shelters.

The IDF's Rear Command said that residents in many areas can now leave their bomb shelters, but should continue to remain near them.
