Developments in the Middle East were discussed at the Security Council session chaired by Nikol Pashinyan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired a Security Council meeting, which was also attended by President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan, Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan, Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan, Head of the NA “Civil Contract” faction Hayk Konjoryan, Chairman of the NA Foreign Relations Committee Sargis Khandanyan.


Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Kristine Grigoryan delivered a comprehensive report on the events taking place around the Islamic Republic of Iran and in the Middle East. Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan presented a report on the activities of the interdepartmental working group established by the Prime Minister’s instruction.


Following the results of the meeting, the Prime Minister gave the necessary instructions. The participants of the meeting expressed deep regret over the painful developments, expressed their condolences for the victims, and emphasized the need for the speedy establishment of peace.
