France appoints new ambassador to Azerbaijan

Sophie Lagut has become the new French ambassador to Baku, the French embassy and the diplomat herself announced this on social networks.

"It is a great honor for me to serve France, our interests and our compatriots as Ambassador to Azerbaijan. I will carry out this mission, continuing the path of Anne Boyon. Together with the team of the French Embassy in Azerbaijan, I look forward to the further development of French-Azerbaijani relations in this region of strategic importance for our country and the European Union," noted S. Lagut.
