Galust Sahakyan's son arrested on his birthday

According to exclusive information from MediaHub, this morning the Anti-Corruption Committee detained former Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) MP, former head of the State Property Management Department Arman Sahakyan and a number of former high-ranking officials.

The Anti-Corruption Committee confirmed our information.

“In response, we inform you that within the framework of the criminal proceedings being investigated by the Anti-Corruption Committee, a number of individuals have been arrested on charges of committing criminal acts under various articles of the RA Criminal Code, including the person holding the position of head of the State Property Management Department and other former high-ranking officials. In the interests of the preliminary investigation, we cannot provide any other information,” said Marina Ohanjanyan, spokesperson for the Anti-Corruption Committee.

It is noteworthy that law enforcement officers carried out their actions today, April 8, on the birthday of Arman Sahakyan’s father, former NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan.
