Armen Galjyan, head of the "Civil Contract" faction of the Yerevan Council of Elders, wrote on his Facebook page:
"If you now hear the following false propaganda trick: "They are cheating you again, you have to pay 300 drams again, because the terminals do not accept 50 drams," remind the authors of those claims of the following: first, even if you deposit 300 drams at the terminal, you will receive two tickets, that is, you will also get a return ticket at the same time. And if people who use the trolleybus today, who are mainly adults, are able to do all this, then others, especially young people, can do it too.
In addition, starting from February 1, you can also pay for the cost of one trip, 150 AMD, in the following ways:
1. With Telcell Wallet.
2. With a 10-time package (1500 AMD instead of the previous 2200), which will be available in terminals, including the Telcell application.
3. With bank cards.
And most importantly:
If you travel at least twice a day on weekdays and purchase the 30-day package in January or February, you will receive an additional 30 days for free. In other words, if you travel at least 44 times during the month, the cost of one trip for those two months will actually be 102 AMD.
In addition, statistics (see the comments section) show that the average user travels 52 times per month, not 44, which means that the average cost of one trip during that period will drop to 86 AMD. Not to mention cases where you travel three or more times a day.
We have created this opportunity for you to test the ticket system packages yourself and experience their effectiveness in your daily life. You will also receive an additional month when purchasing 90- and 365-day packages.
When purchased through the Telcell app, the packages are more affordable: 9,000 for 8,800, 24,000 for 23,600, and 90,000 for 88,000 drams."
