The “Hraparak” newspaper writes: “Late yesterday evening, the Criminal Procedure Code Board held an extraordinary session with the participation of Nikol Pashinyan. The topic was the anonymous letter sent to the media, the Criminal Procedure Code Board decided to examine the conflict between Hayk Sargsyan and Alen Simonyan. Sargsyan had submitted an application to the board against Simonyan months ago, but on the day of the session, citing the fact that he was not in the country, he did not participate in the discussion, and the application remained without examination.

After the letter was distributed yesterday, the CP realized that the anonymous letter writer was Sargsyan, and they called him to the mat. Sargsyan had stated in his application that the NA Speaker is in corrupt ties with one of the bookmaking companies, which is why he opposes the bill. The department listened to the parties yesterday and concluded that Hayk Sargsyan’s allegations were unfounded, so Simonyan was not subject to disciplinary action. This does not mean that the issue is closed and the parties have reached a settlement.

Most likely, after the CP congress, the board will also examine the issue of Hayk Sargsyan. They are going to investigate the MP's behavior, since he "violated the party's charter" by gossiping about Alen Simonyan to his Kotayk party colleagues and, what is most unacceptable, organizing a leak.

Why aren't they examining the issue before the congress? Sargsyan is also a candidate for board member, they let him participate in the elections. The CP also said that this is not a stand-alone process, first an application must be written to the Supervisory Body, they will examine it, and if they deem it necessary, they will address it to the Board.
