Nothing remains of our WhatsApp messages, it's a big mystery to me whether Ruben deleted them or the Azerbaijanis. Glumov

The last time I physically saw Ruben Vardanyan was before he left for Artsakh. And I communicated with him a few hours before he was arrested. We talked for about an hour about what was happening, what wasn't happening. We also talked about the fact that maybe Ruben should return, but he categorically said no, he will stay here, and that's how he stayed. This was stated by presenter Yegor Glumov.
“And that very day he was arrested, literally a few hours later. Our last conversation was at that time: he said he was busy, he couldn’t talk for long now, we’ll talk later. A few days later, when he was already arrested, I noticed on WhatsApp that nothing remained of our conversations, recordings, pictures, screenshots sent via direct connection. It’s still a big mystery to me whether Ruben deleted it, or did they clean it or use it when his phone ended up in the hands of the Azerbaijanis. It was a great pain for me. During the trial, they even showed excerpts from our last interviews; it turned out that they were also used against him. There were words there that Azerbaijani propagandists had taken out of context and used. This also included the last interview between Ruben and me, when he was in Stepanakert, and I was able to prepare the interview from here via the Internet. I am very sorry for that,” Glumov said.
