Shootings on Saralanji Street in Yerevan

Today, on December 10, shots were fired in Yerevan. Around 8:10 p.m., the main criminal police department of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs received operational information that a dispute took place between a group of people on Saralanji street, during which shots were fired.

As photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reports from the scene, the police and patrols found 1 shell fired from a "Makarov" pistol and a sports shoe of the man's right foot at the indicated place.

The photojournalist reports that at the scene when shots were fired, the prosecutor of the Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun administrative districts, who was passing through the said place at that moment, risking his life, stopped his car in front of a car with Russian license plates, from which, according to operational information, the shots were fired. so that he would not run away, but the driver, who was a young man, drove the car not only in the direction of the prosecutor, but also in his direction and when urging In order not to leave the scene, he ran away. 2-3 more cars also fled. The law enforcement officers already have the license plates of two of the mentioned cars, but at this moment, in the interests of the preliminary investigation, we are not disclosing some details.

Police are also investigating whether there were any injuries or not as a result of the altercation and shooting.

At the moment, the patrols have demarcated the area and are waiting for the investigation department of the Kentron and Nork Marash administrative districts of the Yerevan City Investigation Department of the Armenian Investigative Committee to arrive at the scene.

The operative group of the Central Police Department of the Main Department of the Community Police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, led by the head of the department Yervand Nikoyan, also arrived at the scene.
