The Armenian government has approved the list of beneficiaries of the state assistance program to provide housing to individual families forcibly displaced from Karabakh. The decision was approved at the August 28 session of the Armenian government.

The purpose of the decision is to provide state housing assistance to a group of persons displaced as a result of the war in 2020, in particular, to the displaced families of persons who died (died) or were declared missing as a result of hostilities.

The decision is conditioned by the expansion of the scope of support measures for displaced families. After the displacement, the mentioned families acquired real estate in the Republic of Armenia through mortgage lending through "AMIO BANK" CJSC and starting from September 2023, monthly repayments on these loans have not been made, which may lead to the process of repayment of loan obligations by the bank at the expense of foreclosure of the properties that are the subject of collateral.

The decision proposes to implement the monthly repayments (principal amount and interest) of mortgage loans provided to beneficiaries of the program who have acquired RA citizenship through "AMIO BANK" CJSC with funds from the RA state budget, in accordance with the payment schedules.

Moreover, for beneficiaries who do not have RA citizenship at the time of the decision, the process of repaying mortgage loans will begin after acquiring RA citizenship, from the 20th of the following month.
