Yesterday, on December 2, Minister of Education, Science and Higher Education Zhanna Andreasyan dismissed Karen Lazaryan from the position of director of the Goris State College SNCO.

In an interview with MediaHub , Karen Lazaryan mentioned that he was fired without prior notice.

"I can't say why the lady gave such an order right away. The Minister of Education finally carried out the plan. Naturally, the author of all this is the governor of Khopanch in Syunik province, because for several years now he has been wanting to establish himself in this province, but he is looking for those to blame for his failure, and Goris State College was also on his list," Lazaryan noted.

He claims that he was illegally dismissed. Some of the staff have written an application and also do not want to work without the college's already dismissed director.

"I'm trying to convince people not to do something like this so they can keep their house, but they don't want to work with Zhanna Andreasyan," he added in an interview with us.

According to Lazaryan, the teaching process at the college is currently paralyzed.

MediaHub previously reported that an indefinite strike and class strike had been declared at Goris State College, which the college staff had informed the Prime Minister and the Minister of Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Armenia on October 4. They were demanding a meeting with the Minister of Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Armenia regarding the issue of the acting director of the multifunctional college being established in Goris.
