There is a clear impression that the Armenian Apostolic Church is the last pillar of Armenians, which Azerbaijan must destroy at the hands of Pashinyan. Arman Tatoyan

The ultimate goal of the "game" launched by the head of the Armenian government against the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church is, in fact, directed against Christianity, wrote former RA Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan.

"Yes, it is actually beyond the issue of Church personnel, it has already gone beyond the level of the Armenian Church, no matter how much the leader of the CP party and various CP deputies try to convince us otherwise, it is as clear as day."

Analysis of the situation and public sources shows that this campaign against the church fits within the framework of the Azerbaijani state program to occupy Armenia, therefore the sources of the goals, the real motives, must be sought there.

There is a clear impression that the Armenian Apostolic Church is the last pillar of Armenians, which Azerbaijan must destroy at the hands of Nikol Pashinyan in order to advance the plan to occupy “Western Azerbaijan,” which implies that not only the territory of Armenia is “Azerbaijani,” but also that “hundreds of thousands of so-called refugees should settle in Armenia.” This is, in fact, an Azerbaijani state plan to occupy Armenia under a humanitarian guise.

It is in this context that, at the very least, it raises questions that on May 22, the President of the Caucasus Muslims Office, Allahshukur Pashazade, directly stated that "the Armenian Church represents a great challenge for all the countries neighboring Armenia in the region."

Interestingly, this statement remained unanswered by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia or any state body or official. Instead, immediately after that statement, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia began a highly anti-church policy on May 29, accompanied by a campaign of hatred and insults.

This is already an anti-Christian campaign in nature, because Christianity itself is about peace, tolerance, and solidarity, and what the Prime Minister of Armenia and some MPs of the Communist Party are doing are blatant anti-Christian methods.

"Peace is the highest value for all of us, we want to live in a peaceful and secure country, but what the Prime Minister of Armenia is doing is about division and hostility, persecution, and this does not achieve peace, it only brings disaster, undermining our internal stability and the foundations of statehood, undermining security."
