Today is All Souls' Day: Holy Mass in memory of the deceased will be celebrated in all churches

Today, September 15, the Armenian Apostolic Church celebrates the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, the main feast of the Holy Cross and one of the five main feasts of the church.

It is dedicated to the memory of the Lord's return to Jerusalem from Persian captivity and his erection and glorification at Golgotha. Khachverats means raising the cross.

A Holy Liturgy in memory of the deceased will be celebrated in all churches, at the end of which a Requiem Mass will be celebrated.

In the doctrine of the Armenian Church, there is no distinction between old and new deceased, and a memorial service is held for all on the Day of the Dead. Visits to cemeteries are also held on the Day of the Dead.
