Today, our people are still living their crucifixion, hoping that the Lord's Resurrection will come. If we are inclined to the mystery of the Holy Cross, we will not have defeats. Saint Jonah

The path of the cross is thorny and narrow, but it leads to the Resurrection, said His Grace Bishop Hovnan Hakobyan, Primate of the Diocese of Gugarts, in his sermon during the liturgy on the Day of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.
According to the Bishop, our nation has often walked the path of the cross throughout history, encountered disasters, but has overcome difficulties through the symbol of the raised cross.
"Today, our people are still living their crucifixion, but with hope that the Lord's Resurrection will come."
And we, as Christians, if we are inclined to the mystery of the Holy Cross, we will not have defeats.
Our ancestors had the Holy Cross not only on stones, on the domes of churches, but also within their hearts.
We are the nation that was crucified with Christ and resurrected with Christ. A vivid example is the Vardanants War and the Vahanants War, which, in accordance with the command of the Holy Cross, shaped the path of the Armenian people to live a Christian life.
We are hopeful that on today's feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, with the meaning of the day etched in our hearts, minds, and brains, we will continue to glorify and worship the Holy Cross.
"May your cross be our refuge, now and always, and forever," said Bishop Hovnan.
