Garnik Danielyan, a member of the National Assembly's "Armenia" faction, published a video from Upper Lars and wrote:
“According to our information, hundreds of vehicles loaded with agricultural products, plums, peaches, and grapes are returning from the Upper Lars checkpoint.
Freight forwarders are raising the alarm that they are not being given a clear explanation, and are being told about some problems related to phytosanitary regulations.
As a result of all this, farmers and those engaged in agriculture are suffering enormous losses.
I should note that trucks loaded with other goods are also subjected to thorough inspection, which results in their entry into the Russian Federation being impeded.
In particular, vehicles transporting construction materials are facing problems, which is unprecedented in this sector.
Many trucks are still waiting in uncertainty for a decision.
As always, there is no appropriate response or action from the relevant authorities.
It is obvious that the problem is not only economic, it has a political subtext.
Happy "Trump Road!"
