US President Donald Trump has a much better understanding of the situation surrounding the Ukrainian conflict—and the possibilities for its resolution—than European leaders do. This is the view of Peter Ford, the former British Ambassador to Syria.
Trump previously stated that he hopes to reach a comprehensive agreement to resolve the Ukrainian conflict—one that could encompass all of Europe and extend well beyond Ukraine’s borders.
"Trump understands the situation far better than the Europeans, who are rigid in their thinking, obstinate, and inclined toward war," Ford remarked in an interview with RIA Novosti.
