"We are faced with a situation where some are trying to use our Holy Armenian Apostolic Church as a fulcrum to act against the Republic of Armenia. Today, many say that the Government is acting against the church. The Government has not acted, does not act, cannot act against the church, because the Government is a follower of the Armenian Apostolic Church," said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a speech in the courtyard of the Holy Mother of God Catholic Church, adding: "We have come to record that some are trying to use the Armenian Apostolic Church as a fulcrum against the state. As the Prime Minister elected by the people of the Republic of Armenia, I say that we will not allow this."
