Your ANIF, Covid, New Year's decorations, everything related to you raises suspicions of corruption. This was stated by Pedro Zarokyan, a member of the Yerevan Council of Elders' "National Progress" faction, to Mayor Tigran Avinyan.

"The government has allocated 172 million drams to the municipality to create a recreation area in the Hrazani Gorge. You say you are doing it through a tender, but last year there was a similar program, where the government allocated 6.5 billion drams to create a gym named after Albert Azaryan and you gave a contract to a newly created company, whose founders had donated to the CP. This raises questions of corruption, because you have done such things again, you say we are doing it through a tender, but you are doing it internally. For example, the Albert Azaryan gymnasium could have been built for $5-6 million, not $18.5 million, this also raises suspicions of corruption,” he noted.

Tigran Avinyan noted that all the figures raised, fortunately, do not correspond to reality.

“The fact that we decided to implement this construction in an urgent procedure does not correspond to reality. I want to remind you why the construction of the Albert Azaryan gymnasium is being implemented in an urgent procedure, we will host the World Athletics Championships in 2027 and these decisions were made by the Government, the total construction budget, if I am not mistaken, is about 4 billion drams, and as for the urgency, we should have implemented this volume of construction in 5-6 years according to the norms, and we are implementing this in approximately 1.5 years.”
