China's Foreign Ministry calls on US and Iran to properly implement signed memorandum of understanding

The US and Iran should implement the already signed memorandum of understanding and resolve the dispute through dialogue and negotiations. This was stated at a briefing by the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Mao Ning, commenting on the new exchange of blows between Washington and Tehran.

“We call on the US and Iran to properly implement the already signed memorandum of understanding and resolve differences through dialogue and negotiations,” he said.

Mao Ning noted that Beijing is following the latest developments in the Middle East. According to him, the resumption of military operations is not in the interests of either side, and military means “cannot solve any problems.”
