"Fact". There is corruption, corruption... and even the West is speaking out
"Fact" daily writes: "When Nikol Pashinyan was asked a few years ago, ``what about corruption...", he immediately replied, ``...we have eradicated it, unequivocally and unequivocally.'' It has been responding more gently lately. For example, he says: "...yes, it is there, but it is not systemic." Well, it's even natural. They wouldn't say that we are corrupt from top to bottom. But let's leave the authorities with their self-praise and self-satisfaction and record that even the Western Freedom House notices how bad the situation is in this regard as well.
Thus, the human rights organization pays attention to the following facts revealed during journalistic investigations: acquisition of real estate by officials at preferential prices, acquisition of state lands, lack of official verification of suspiciously large assets of public servants, the practice of state purchases without holding public tenders from organizations with a dubious reputation or connected to the authorities, also with illegal activities from enterprises engaged in...
Impressive, right?
But this piece? "The practice of awarding government tenders to companies affiliated with ruling party politicians continues, and investigative journalists highlight the risks of close ties between big business and high-ranking officials." And what, who will believe that all this is not systemic in nature? Is the system one with nose and tail? The next important issue here is that Nikol Pashinyan and his government, his CP so beloved (at the time), the Freedom House of their heart says that corruption not only exists, but it has reached very serious, significant dimensions.
In other words, this government, led by Pashinyan, has reached the point that even their beloved West does not want to hide their corruption, no matter how much this, sorry, government brought to Armenia's head is considered their own."
