59 percent of respondents stated that Tigranashen is Armenian and the authorities have no right to transfer it to Azerbaijan: opinion poll.
Aram Navasardyan, Director of MPG LLC—the full member of the Gallup International Association in Armenia—presented survey results regarding this topic.
59% of respondents stated that Tigranashen is Armenian and that the government has no right to transfer it to Azerbaijan. 21% noted that Tigranashen holds strategic importance and that transferring it to Azerbaijan could create security and strategic risks for Armenia.
6.4% stated that Tigranashen is not territory belonging to the Republic of Armenia and should be transferred to Azerbaijan. 3.5% expressed other opinions, while 10.1% found it difficult to answer.
It should be noted that the survey was conducted via telephone with a sample size of 1,001; the margin of error was 3%, and the fieldwork took place from September 22 to 24.
