A cyclone is approaching us from the Black Sea. For the past 3 days, Armenia has been in the zone of influence of tropical warm air currents penetrating from the regions of Iraq, which were especially active in the Ararat Valley, its foothills and Yerevan. This was reported by the “Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center” SNCO.

Starting from the evening of August 27, these warm air currents will retreat, giving way to a cyclone penetrating from the Black Sea, which will remain in our region until August 31 inclusive.

Thus, on the evening of August 27, at night and in the afternoon of August 28-31, short-term thunderstorms are expected in most regions, in some areas they will be heavy and hail will fall. During thunderstorms, wind gusts of 20-25 m/s are expected.

The air temperature will gradually decrease by 7-9 degrees throughout the republic during the daytime on August 27-30, compared to August 26.
