We are not doing anything to worsen relations with the Russian Federation. This was stated by the Speaker of the National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan during a briefing.

“We are very honest, we are not doing anything to worsen relations with the Russian Federation, on the contrary, we have done everything and continue to do everything to have good-neighborly relations. In this context, I believe that the unfair and unnecessary restrictions applied against Armenian businessmen do not correspond to either the spirit of Armenia-Russia relations, or even more so to the rules of the EAEU.

The whole meaning of the existence of the EAEU is the free and duty-free movement of goods, and here we are not dealing with freedom. As for the application to become a candidate for membership in the European Union, it is a well-known fact that it is our EAEU partners who are doing everything and trying to make us do this, they constantly say that we should hold a referendum. "The referendum will be possible only after we apply for membership in the European Union and receive a corresponding positive response," he noted.
