A man's body was found under the bridge connecting Acharyan Street to Masiv, with 2 letters on it.

Today, August 4, a tragic incident occurred in Yerevan. At around 04:20, the Avan department of the Community Police Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received operational information that there was a body under the bridge at Acharyan 1.

As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the operational group of the Avan police department arrived at the scene, led by the head of the department Andranik Shahbazyan. Patrolmen of the 3rd company of the 4th battalion of the Yerevan city regiment of the Patrol Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Police also arrived, led by the regiment commander Andranik Khachatryan, battalion commander Davit Nikoghosyan, company commander Alyosha Ayvazyan and deputy company commander Tigran Harutyunyan.

It turned out on the spot that the received operational information was reliable. Community police officers and patrols discovered the body of 78-year-old Yerevan resident Vanik Ch. under the bridge. The information about the incident was transferred from the Avan police department to the Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts investigation department of the Yerevan city investigation department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, from where the investigation group arrived, headed by the head of the department Sisak Hayrapetyan and the investigator on duty for the day.

A criminal case was initiated in the investigation department on the basis of suicide. According to the photojournalist, 2 letters were found near the deceased. In the interests of the preliminary investigation, we are not disclosing some details at this time.
