The depopulation of Artsakh cannot erase the rights of the Armenians of Artsakh.
Dear compatriots,
Today marks the third anniversary of one of the most painful chapters in our modern history: the depopulation and loss of Artsakh.
As a result of Azerbaijan’s military aggression, a months-long inhumane blockade, and the failed policies and inaction of Armenia’s current authorities, Artsakh was depopulated, and tens of thousands of our compatriots were forcibly displaced from their ancestral homeland. The Armenian population of Artsakh was subjected to ethnic cleansing.
The loss of Artsakh is not merely a tragedy for the Armenians of Artsakh; it is a pan-Armenian grief that affects every Armenian and touches upon our people's historical memory, rights, and dignity.
Today—three years later—the protection of the fundamental rights of the Armenians of Artsakh remains one of the most critical issues concerning human rights, international law, and regional stability.
It is regrettable that the authorities of Armenia are attempting to push the conversation about this matter off the public agenda. However, historical realities cannot be consigned to oblivion by a political decision.
We clearly state: the depopulation of Artsakh cannot erase Artsakh’s centuries-old Armenian history, its cultural heritage, or the rights of the Armenians of Artsakh.
One of the priorities of the "Strong Armenia" party will be to consistently raise the issue of the rights of the Armenians of Artsakh on all international platforms, advocating for their right to a safe, dignified, and collective return, as well as for the preservation and protection of their property and their cultural and spiritual heritage.
The representatives of Artsakh’s military-political leadership, along with other Armenian prisoners of war and illegally detained persons currently held in Azerbaijan, must be released immediately.
