Aliyev scolds the West. The plans made for the South Caucasus can lead to a big disaster
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, member of the National Assembly of Turkey, head of the delegation to the NATO PA Mevlut Cavusoglu, making unambiguous statements to the West during the reception.
As APA reports, Aliyev thanked Cavusoglu, who "conveyed the voice of Turkey to the whole world, that Azerbaijan is not alone, Turkey is by its side." These statements, in turn, played an important role in preventing the forces that want to interfere in the affairs of Azerbaijan."
According to Aliyev, "currently, the processes in the world, including in the South Caucasus, are developing in a very dangerous direction", and "the planned plans for the South Caucasus may lead to a great disaster in the future".
The President of Azerbaijan complained about the pressure exerted on Baku after the aggression against Nagorno Karabakh in September 2023. "From that moment until now, we have been subjected to continuous pressure. The European Parliament adopted disgusting resolutions full of insults. PACE deprived our delegation of the right to vote. These are steps that can lead to very negative consequences," Aliyev predicted.
At the same time, he accused the West of "attempts to turn Armenia into an armed outpost in the South Caucasus", which "will lead to very big negative consequences in the future".
In the end, Aliyev stated that "the Turkic world is really our united family, and we must work in that direction."
