The appeal filed against the verdict of citizens of the Republic of Armenia Arayik Harutyunyan, Arkady Ghukasyan, Bako Sahakyan, Davit Ishkhanyan, Davit Babayan, Levon Mnatsakanyan and others has been accepted for proceedings. This is reported by Azerbaijani media.

It is noted that the case will be examined in the Baku Court of Appeal, presided over by Judge Elmar Ragimov.

The trial begins today.

It should be recalled that the defender of the interests of Armenian prisoners of war at the ECHR, lawyer Siranush Sahakyan, reported that there is information that court hearings on the appeals of some Armenian prisoners of war will be held in Baku on May 26.

"Verdicts regarding 15 prisoners held in Baku have been appealed, but since public defenders acted, in whom there is no proper trust, we are not aware of whose appeal was accepted for consideration, but we believe that we will find out after the trial begins," Sahakyan specifically noted.
