Defense Ministry servicemen die in tragic car accident

Today, on April 8, a major and tragic car accident occurred in Lori region. At around 16:30, a DAF truck and a VAZ 21014 collided on the 10th kilometer of the Vanadzor-Spitak highway.

As photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reported from the scene, 2 people died on the spot as a result of the accident, 2 people received first aid on the spot by ambulance doctors from the Spitak Medical Center who arrived promptly to receive medical assistance, and then were transferred to the Spitak Medical Center.

Several citizens gathered at the scene of the incident said that the deceased were servicemen of the Ministry of Defense and perhaps that was why the UAZs used for the Ministry of Defense ambulance arrived at the scene to transport their bodies.
