"Everyone will do their job in their place." Avinyan on participating in the process of liberating the Supreme Patriarchate

Living in hypocrisy and artificiality is a very wrong thing, in some cases, certain truths need to be voiced and followed through, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan said in a conversation with reporters, referring to the recent events against clergy.

"What is turned a blind eye to at one time or for a very long time, based on certain circumstances, sooner or later... in many cases, that hypocrisy and artificiality, yes, must be put to an end," said Avinyan.

When asked whether Pashinyan said he would lead the process of liberating the Supreme Patriarch from the Patriarchate, would he join that group, Avinyan replied:

"I think everyone will do their job in their place."
