The “Hraparak” newspaper writes: “The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Pashinyan’s longtime comrade-in-arms Hakob Arshakyan, is so offended by the team that he has not yet submitted an application to be included in the 2026 electoral list. His close friends say that Arshakyan is considering not running, unless, of course, there is a force majeure and they force him to.

In a conversation with us, Arshakyan said that he has not been nominated so far, and he refused to answer whether he will be nominated or not.

Let us recall that he was not allowed to participate in the CP congress held in September under the pretext of not paying the 30 thousand drams party membership fee. However, they say that Arshakyan does not agree with everything and sometimes does not even hesitate to go against Pashinyan.

We were also told that there are quite a few CP members who, although they know that they have no chance and will be throwing away 500 thousand drams, are forced to run for office out of fear of Pashinyan so as not to get into trouble.

It should be noted that the CP demands a "head price" for nominated candidates: half a million drams from CP members, 1.5 million from non-partisans. Nominations will be completed at the end of November, then the CP administration will first review and filter the lists, and later the final versions of the lists will be compiled by voting at the congress.

The money is paid at the nomination stage, regardless of whether they are later elected or not, and the money is non-refundable.
