"Hraparak": Nikol Pashinyan is disappointed with Alen Simonyan. The reason is known

The “Hraparak” newspaper writes: “The CP is almost certain that Alen Simonyan will not be in the next parliament because he will not agree to the status of an ordinary deputy. Some time ago, there was talk that he was being considered for the post of President of the Republic of Armenia when Vahagn Khachaturyan’s term expires or he resigns early.

However, it seems that this issue is no longer being discussed, Pashinyan is disappointed with Simonyan, and the reason is partly his personal life. In addition, he has new favorites.

Instead, according to the CP members, Alen Simonyan can live in a privileged status for another 10 years, because if there are no snap elections and he ends his term in office in June, then, according to the law, he will be under the protection of the state and for the next 10 years he will enjoy all the privileges available to the outgoing NA Speaker, including bodyguards, a company car, an apartment, etc., which, according to the CP members, Alen Simonyan would prefer to any position that also entails responsibilities.

By the way, Alen Simonyan will be the first Speaker of the National Assembly to serve until the end of his term: all previous presidents' terms of office were left incomplete.
