Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has approved a ceasefire agreement with the United States and Israel, the New York Times reported.

"Iran's new Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, has approved Pakistan's proposal for a two-week ceasefire after intense diplomatic efforts and last-minute pressure from China," the report said.

Recall that Ali Nikzad, the deputy speaker of the Iranian parliament, had announced that the Supreme Leader would not authorize the signing of the agreement if the United States did not accept Iran's conditions.
