On April 24, the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, UFC star Arman Tsarukyan and European freestyle wrestling champion Arsen Harutyunyan visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex to pay tribute to the innocent victims of the 1915 tragedy. Tsarukyan, one of the world’s leading UFC lightweight champions, posted a video and a post on social media expressing his respect and admiration for the painful history of the Armenian people. “We remember, we are not silent, we are not forgotten,” he wrote.
"Today we visited Tsitsernakaberd to pay our respects to the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide. We bow before the memory of those who fell victim to the darkest page of our nation's painful history in 1915. Generations later, we still stand, remembering, not forgetting, and continuing our journey with pride. No one is forgotten, nothing is forgotten. We remember... we are not silent. We do not forget," Tsarukyan wrote.
