Onik Akhverdyan was unanimously elected mayor of Parakar

The Parakar Council of Elders meeting was held.

The only candidate, Onik Akhverdyan, representing the "Unity" alliance, was elected mayor of Parakar.

The Council of Elders session began with a minute of silence in memory of the murdered community leader Valodya Grigoryan.

Parakar community mayor Valodya Grigoryan and criminal police officer Karen Abrahamyan were killed. One person was also injured.
