Political prisoner Khachik Galstyan's message from house arrest

“Dear compatriots,

I have been in prison for about seven months. Unfortunately, during that time, political persecution and persecution in our country have reached alarming proportions.

My solidarity and respect to Gagik Tsarukyan, Andranik Tevanyan, Aregnaz Manukyan, Armen Ashotyan, Avetik Chalabyan, David Ghazinyan, Ashot Yeghiazaryan and the rest of my friends imprisoned for political activities.

In the ever-deepening swamp of tyranny, the occupying power is trying to silence, to sow widespread fear and to stifle every word of dissent, every hearth of resistance.

Dear Armenians,

Do not be silent, do not be afraid, do not submit to the whims of the dictator’s palate.

Speak, protect and support.

Silence and indifference are tantamount to drowning in the stinking swamp of dictatorship.

And finally, the window of my apartment, which has become a prison, looks directly at Mount Hatis. Every night, when my homeland is buried in total darkness, a light burns on the top of the mountain. In the dark nightmare of the night, it seems like a ray of hope, faith and victory, bathed in God, Faith and Homeland.

Dear Tsarukyan, stay strong.

Prisoner of Homeland and Conscience:

Professor Khachik Galstyan.
