The Central Election Commission, examining the issue of charging Narek Karapetyan, which, as you remember, is about an accusation that has no relation to reality, objectivity, or logic, has satisfied the circumstance of giving consent. Aram Vardevanyan, a member of the “Strong Armenia” party, said this in a conversation with journalists in front of the CEC.

“The above does not constitute a deprivation of immunity at all. This refers to consent to charging.

Then a discussion began regarding the preventive measure of imprisonment, whether it can be applied or not. Again, the Central Election Commission must give consent to this, if we are guided by the interpretation by which all this is happening,” Vardevanyan said.

Lawyer Aram Vardevanyan stated the day before yesterday that the criminal case involving Karapetyan concerns the accusation attributed to “Strong Armenia” supporter Alexan Alexanyan. Aleksanyan is accused of financially inciting people to participate in the rally and of laundering money on a particularly large scale.
